TEACHMEET SHEFFIELD

“Reaching out to everyone using inspiring ideas”

You are invited to our next Sheffield Teachmeet based around exciting lessons in the

classroom for all. We would be particularly interested to hear ideas from teachers who

engage with SEND, EAL, G&T and other groups. This event has been organised by Claire

Pender and Mat Galvin along with Hays Education.

We are delighted to announce our keynote speaker, Dave Whitaker who will share his experience

and ideas around reaching out to SEN students and vulnerable groups.

Dave is Director of SEN and Alternative Provision Executive Principal at Springwell Learning Community. A National

Leader of Education, Dave is on the Executive Committees for the Yorkshire & Humber PRU and Special Schools

Heads and is a tutor for The National College. Dave has a passion for vulnerable groups and those with special

educational needs.

Anyone can participate and contributions should be in the format of five minute micro-presentations or two minute nanopresentations.

Our aim is to keep things informal and moving at pace with the focus being on the exchange of personal insight

and ideas. We believe that ideas can come from anyone so whether you have been teaching for 30 days or 30 years, please

come and share with us. If you believe that teachers learn best from each other, you should be there.

Places are limited so to book your place to present or attend, please find our post on the official Teachmeet website at

teachmeet.pbworks.com or email us at teachmeetshef@gmail.com

Alternatively you can sign up via our EventBrite page here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/teachmeet-sheffield-tickets-
